Job Description

RUSH Personnel is seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join the culinary team at The Happy Viking, a locally owned restaurant that has become an integral part of our community.
As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef and collaborate with a talented kitchen staff to ensure the highest standards of food quality and service. Your creativity, attention to detail, and ability to lead and motivate others will contribute to the continued success of this renowned establishment.

Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and culinary
innovation.
Supervise the daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and
adherence to established culinary standards.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work
environment.
Ensure that recipes and food preparation instructions are followed correctly.
Manage inventory levels.
Compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
Support the Executive Chef in administrative tasks, such as scheduling and
ordering.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
1-3 years of kitchen management experience
Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
ServSafe Food Handler certification (preferred)

Pay: $23 - $28/hr. DOE
