Performs clerical and administrative support for the Human Resources Department

Job Overview and requirements:

  • Assists the HR Director with routine issues and follow up
  • Timely and accurate maintenance of employee HRIS database
  • Processes HR paperwork and maintains employee files
  • Coordinates Safety Bingo program
  • Prepares job ads and works with local agencies for recruitment - represents at local job fairs
  • Plans, prepares, and coordinates new hire on-boarding process, including all post/pre-employment screenings
  • Creates and maintains employee ID badges and photos, reorders supplies
  • Maintains training database, scheduling of training
  • Acts as secretary for Safety Committee and, when necessary assists the Safety Officer, including monitoring and tracking safety forms, and meeting minutes
  • Assists with monthly benefits enrollments, monthly notification memos, data entry of enrollments and processing paperwork
  • Assists with performance evaluations
  • Help administer employee incentives/award programs
  • Assists with leave program (pregnancy, disability, FMLS, CFRA, etc.)
  • Helps with benefits programs
  • Assists Payroll Coordinator administer workers comp program and claims
  • Assists with CARF accreditation review
  • Help maintain and update Employee and Ethics Handbooks
  • Keeps the Director of Human Resources promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary

    ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
  • Assists the Director of Human Resources in a variety of special assignments
  • Assists in preparation for the annual Staff Development Day
  • Presents a uniformly positive image of programs and services during all informal community contacts, as well as during regular workday activities
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by the Director of Human Resources or Executive Director

    Monday thru Friday
    8am to 5pm
