4-Day Work Week (4/10 Schedule)
Job Title: Miller
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: 4/10s - Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Shifts: Flexibility to work day or swing shift, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing daily milling operations to ensure maximum efficiency, product quality, and safety. This includes hands-on equipment operation, supervising a team, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring adherence to safety and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise production team members to meet operational goals.
Train employees to ensure full understanding of job functions and safety procedures.
Maintain compliance with company policies and all regulatory standards.
Support staff development and assist with performance evaluations and disciplinary procedures.
Operate milling equipment efficiently; troubleshoot issues and make operational adjustments.
Inspect equipment and product flow regularly, identifying and addressing issues promptly.
Ensure cleanliness of the work area and completion of daily and monthly sanitation tasks.
Fill in operational roles as needed depending on staffing or production demands.
Submit maintenance work orders when repairs or safety issues are identified.
Interface with computer systems for production data entry and operational control.
Follow and execute production schedules in coordination with administration.
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment at all times.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of relevant milling or industrial operations experience.
Supervisory experience in a production setting preferred.
Knowledge of production machinery and quality control standards.
Ability to lead a team, communicate clearly, and resolve problems effectively.
Comfortable using computers and production software systems.
Forklift certification required (or ability to obtain).
Adult CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
Must be at least 18 years old.
Work Environment:
Work involves stairs, ladders, man-lifts, catwalks, and uneven surfaces.
Exposure to dust, noise, and varying indoor/outdoor temperatures.
May include working at heights or around confined spaces.
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
