Reports to Executive Director/CEO. Oversees accounting operations in Humboldt, Del Norte, Siskiyou, Shasta, and Tehama counties (position located in Redding).
Plan and direct all accounting activities, supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and financial preparation
Monthly account reconciliations and analyzes monthly financial statements
Performs and/or prepares ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
Ensures accurate and timely closing and reporting at year-end and external A-133 financial audit
Coordinates and interfaces with the outside auditors
Prepares annual RCL Biennial reporting and CFRS Cost Reports
Manages the accounting staff, performance evaluations, training programs and needs
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in accounting or finance and 3+ years' experience
Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Strong leadership skills, employee relationship building and performance management techniques
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
