JOB SUMMARY: Purchasing and monitoring of parts and raw materials for production and service jobs 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Create and maintain bills of materials for jobs identified by management
  • Purchase Order entry, Receiving and tracking of all parts, equipment, raw materials and miscellaneous goods for equipment and production jobs
  • Order, track and insure timely delivery of parts, equipment, raw materials and miscellaneous goods
  • Customer invoicing of all production, equipment and rental billing
  • Schedule and arrange transportation all, parts, raw materials and miscellaneous goods
  • General Ledger coding, tracking and approval of associated freight bills
  • Customer rental transactions. Includes preparation and tracking of all rental documentation
  • Assigning and tracking of inventory, rental equipment, production, fixed asset and rental file numbers
  • Schedule and administrative review of repair and maintenance for fixed assets
  • Transfer of parts and raw materials to/from production and equipment jobs
  • Uses knowledge of material work planning and methods engineering processes and procedures to coordinate product deliveries
  • Monitor the parts cost within production, equipment and rental jobs
  • Audit jobs to insure all parts have been transferred to the job
  • Monitors and maintains inventory control policies and procedures for accuracy 
  • Responsible for “New Equipment Compliance Project”
  • Tracking of goods returned to vendors for products under their responsibility
  • Manage parts product lines as assigned by management for inventory levels and stock orders
  • Negotiates best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements

 QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • AA Degree in related field
  • 3 years in purchasing related experience or demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above mentioned tasks
  • Basic mechanical skills and an understanding of parts terminology
  • Computer competency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Dynamics
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos and email.
  • Ability to prepare reports utilizing a variety of software programs.

  • Valid California Drivers’ license with insurance and clean DMV printout

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the day to day shipping, receiving and movement of parts inventories

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Count, inspect, verify and record the receipt of all parts received, including customer returns
  • Follow standard operating procedures checking in parts received
  • Count, inspect, verify and record all outgoing shipment of parts
  • Keep parts inventories and have direct knowledge of all parts location
  • Assist in maintaining parts inventory accuracy by performing inventory counts and working closely with other parts department employees
  • Make deliveries to customers or job sites as required. Must have a valid, clean driving record

 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Basic mechanical skills and an understanding of parts terminology
  • Experience operating a fax and copier
  • Minimum 6 months experience in parts related customer service, sales or related field
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos and email
  • Ability to write simple documents
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present information in one-on-one situations to customers, clients and other employees of the company
  • Ability to operate forklifts. Successfully complete a company training program for forklift use within 30 days of hire
  • Computer literacy
