Ag Parts/Purchasing Agent - Orland, CA

A diverse agricultural company based in Glenn County with over 50 years of industry experience is seeking an Ag Parts/Purchasing Agent to join their team. This long-standing company fabricates equipment and provides custom mechanical orchard services throughout California.

Position Overview:
The Ag Parts/Purchasing Agent plays a key role in supporting operations by sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory for agricultural equipment fabrication, repair, and mechanical services. This position requires strong communication and negotiation skills — but above all, the ideal candidate must be mechanically inclined with solid technical knowledge and hands-on experience with agricultural equipment, parts, and components.

Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (overtime may be required seasonally)

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure agricultural parts, materials, and components

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with vendors

• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records

• Coordinate and track orders to ensure timely deliveries

• Resolve shipment issues or discrepancies

• Support operational and safety compliance

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience (agricultural or equipment industry preferred)

• Mechanically inclined with technical knowledge of agricultural equipment, parts, and systems

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

• Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record required
