Position overview:
Process vendor invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
Support the smooth daily operations of our accounting department.
A/R Clerk plays an important role in maintaining vendor relationships
and ensuring timely, accurate payments.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents for accuracy
• Enter invoices and code them to appropriate general ledger accounts
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, and credit card transactions
• Maintain electronic and paper filing systems
• Communicate with vendors regarding billing and payment status
• Support month-end closing including A/R reconciliations and accruals
• Assist with annual audits by providing necessary documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and tax/reporting (W-9, 1099)
  
  Required:
  HS diploma or GED; Associate s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  1 2 years of a/p or general accounting (preferred but not required)
  Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  Excellent organization and time-management skills
  Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
  Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
