Job Description
Butte County service provider seeks HR & Payroll Specialist!
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee accounts payable and receivable while maintaining accurate financial records
Process payroll efficiently and ensure compliance with California labor laws
Leverage QuickBooks for financial transactions and detailed reporting
Manage HR tasks such as maintaining employee records and compliance with employment laws
Organize and maintain proper filing of records and documents
Prepare comprehensive financial reports and statements for review
Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
Handle administrative tasks including phones, correspondence, and office supplies
Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with regulations and data accuracy
Collaborate with external accountants and auditors as required
Qualifications & Skills Needed:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a comparable role
Expertise in QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting tools
Strong background in AP/AR, payroll, and HR operations
Solid knowledge of California employment and labor laws
Exceptional attention to detail and record-keeping skills
Ability to manage sensitive information with a high level of integrity
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Additional Requirements:
Successful completion of a drug screen and background check
